Personal Data We Process

We process your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide it to us yourself.

  • Functionaris Gegevensbescherming
  • Email Address: Processed similarly to your name when filling in a contact form. Additionally, if you give consent to join our mailing list, your email will be used solely for the newsletter and stored only in that list. Your email will be retained indefinitely until you choose to unsubscribe.
  • Address and Contact Details (NAW-data): Necessary for compliance with tax regulations. These data are stored for 7 years according to the law.
  • IP Address: We record your visit behavior and the information your browser sends to analyze how our website is used.

We will not process your data without your consent, unless we are legally required to do so.

We reserve the right to make changes to this privacy policy. It is recommended to review this policy regularly to stay informed of any updates.

Privacy Rights

We handle your data lawfully and confidentially; we do not sell your data. All data processing complies with the Dutch Data Protection Act.

  • You have the right to: Data portability – transfer your personal data to another party.
  • Access – view your personal data.
  • Rectification – correct any inaccuracies in your personal data.
  • Erasure – request the deletion of your personal data.
  • Withdraw consent – you can revoke your consent for processing at any time; after withdrawal, we may no longer process your data.
  • Object – object to the processing of your personal data.

It is best to request access in writing, either by letter or email. The Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, AP) provides a sample letter for this on their website. Please note that you can only submit an access request if you are over 16 years old and not under legal guardianship. Otherwise, your legal representative (for example, one of your parents) must submit the request. In that case, we will also send our response to that person.

Google Analytics

To measure and analyze visitor behavior, we use Google Analytics in a privacy-friendly way:

  • We have a Data Processing Agreement with Google.
  • IP anonymization is enabled (the last octet of the IP address is masked before storage).
  • Data sharing is disabled.
  • User ID functionality is not enabled.
  • No other Google services are used in combination with Google Analytics cookies.
  • Data retention for users and events is set to 50 months, after which data is automatically deleted

If, despite all the measures we have taken, you still do not want us to track your behavior anonymously, an opt-out option is available. Google has developed a special Chrome Add-On that you can install in your browser. This Add-On prevents the Google Analytics tracking code from sending information to Google.

Akismet

We use the Akismet plugin to block spam. Akismet filters messages sent via contact forms, including all data in the forms. This is necessary because spam can contain malicious links or malware. No opt-out is available for this plugin, although browser add-ons may be used.

There is also no opt-out option for this plugin, but you can use a browser add-on to achieve the same effect.

Website Security

To protect our website against hackers and other malicious actors, we use a security plugin that processes IP addresses. No opt-out is available, but browser add-ons like Ghostery can be used: https://www.ghostery.com/
Our website also has an SSL certificate to securely encrypt data transmitted between your browser and the server.
We actively check weekly that WordPress, themes, and plugins are up-to-date and immediately apply updates when available.

To securely transmit data over the internet, our website is equipped with an SSL certificate. This protocol creates an encrypted connection between the web server and your browser, ensuring that all data transmitted remains confidential.

To protect the data stored on our website, we use a plugin that ensures and monitors website security. Additionally, we actively check weekly that WordPress, the theme, and plugins are up-to-date and apply updates immediately when available.

Data Transfer

We will only process your data within the European Union. Outside the EU, we will process your data only if the country provides an adequate level of protection for your information. Without your consent, we will never share your data with countries or third parties other than those mentioned above.
